About: St Lukes Hospice

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Became unwell 3 years ago. Had a walking problem. M & D disease. I was unable walk. My job was a nurse. Progressive disease. Coming to hospice for one year. It's a place to come and relax for the day with wonderful staff. Therapies are amazing. Staff are encouraging. Their kindness is wonderful. Love talking to others. It's a joy to share stories and it gives you hope. We have love in our hearts for each other. The hospice creates a wonderful environment to allow us to do this.

Hi. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of St Luke's Hospice on Care Opinion. We are pleased to hear that you are benefiting from the therapies provided at St Luke's Hospice. I will pass on your feedback to the staff. Sharing stories and peer support is very important for many people living with a life limiting illness, it can offer a distraction during what may be a particularly challenging time for many people. We are pleased to hear that you feel the hospice environment allows people to gain support from each other.
