"I like the massages"

About: St Lukes Hospice

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Diagnosed in 2000. Been coming to out patients at hospice every Wednesday. Meeting people is great and staff are terrific. I like the massages. I have COPD and a heart condition. Look forward to coming. Lunches are so nice.

Hi. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of St Luke's Hospice with Care Opinion. We are pleased to hear you find the massages beneficial-I will pass on your comments to the therapists and other staff members. For many people living with a life limiting illness a change in dietary input is a common problem for example; change in taste sensation, sickness, lacking interest in food. We are very fortunate that meals are prepared on site using fresh produce, patients are able to select their lunch choice from a menu which meets dietary and cultural needs. For many people who attend out-patients having their lunch with other people is a social activity which they enjoy, stimulate appetite and an interest in food. I will pass on your comments to the catering team.
