"admitted for tests....had a blood test"

About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital / Neurology

I was admitted to treble ward on19/7/19 after seeing a consultant privately. I was told I would be admitted for further testing and observation due to 2 years of symptoms that no one could help me with, I was told they would get s diagnosis and help me further. After 5 days I overheard I was being discharged which caused me great distress as they hadn’t done any testing apart from a full blood count. I had to ask twice to see a dr before they came and told me the plan for me. They then took more blood and told me I would see a dr in clinic in 3-4 months! And potentially see a dr in London but not definitely. I had been in a long time leaving my kids at home with family. I felt disappointed and let down again, the nursing staff were amazing and cannot be faulted it was the way the dr and team treated me and others on the ward. I now feel as helpless as ever and regret paying the original private fee.
