About: Highbury Hospital Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust / Adult Mental Health Services - Community (County)

They are not even worth 1 star. I have been for 3 months now under the care, that bits a joke, of the county crisis team based at Highbury vale. Three months I have suffered that much that I have overdosed twice. I get to see them 2 times a week, I have to sit in s room with different staff evrrytime, going over and over again my same issues. I leave there feeling worse than when I went in.

I need urgent help, I do not know what is happening to me and feel scared and alone. They say if you ever need them they are there 24/7. I have driven to the carpark distressed, needing to see someone. Nobody answered the the phone for 2 hours so I had to ring for a ambulance to come our to me in there carpark.

I went into the outpatient distressed the other day in the morning, again needing help to be told there was nobody there, go and have a cup of coffee and come back in a few hours...... What sort of care is that?

I took a overdose at the weekend, released on the Monday. I have been crying out for help everyday. I go to a meeting today with a doctor and a nurse, sit there breaking down because I have no strength to keep dealing with my issues anymore. I was told they think keep seeing them is no good for me so they have discharged me. Yes discharged me 2 days after being released from hospital for taking a overdose.

So now I feel even more abandoned, even more alone in the world. If they can see a grown man breaking down in front of them for 3 months and taking 2 overdoses, then what more do you need to show that you are in crisis?

They are a disgrace, they see you to tick boxes, do not care or understand about your mental health needs. Three months of seeing different people, going over and over the same stuff gives you no rest so you relive your distress with them all the time. What use or help is that to anyone?

My lesson from it is this, if you need help phone the police, they have done more for me than that hospital has ever done. Phone your own GP, they care and get things done and lastly phone for a ambulance, when they arrive you know you will get the urgent help you need.

The county crisis team, thanks for 3 months of hell with you, thanks for discharging me when I am still in desperate need and thanks for nothing because that's all you ever did for me! You are a service that meets nobodies needs and are a shame to the NHS.

Thank you for raising your concerns about your experience with the County South Crisis Team, all feedback is valued and welcome.

I am very sorry to hear your experience with the team hasn't been a helpful one, particularly about the issue you raise about having to go over the same thing every time with different staff, I do not think this is helpful either as it can often lead to frustration and as you quite rightly describe, "leave there feeling worse"

I would very much like the opportunity to discuss your concerns with you further, if this is something you would like to do please don't hesitate to get in touch?

Kind regards
