"Warm welcome"

About: Bassetlaw Hospital / General medicine

(as a relative),

My grandfather was admitted to ATC for a blood transfusion. A lovely 3rd year student called Gemma from Sheffield Hallam University completed his admission and looked after him and within minutes of meeting her - my grandfather and us as a family felt at ease. Gemma continued to keep my Grandfathers spirit up and was able to make him laugh whilst maintaining professional boundaries.

Gemma was caring, compassionate and approachable - ATC is a lovely ward.

Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know of your recent experience at Bassetlaw Hospital. Its lovely to read the difference Gemma made to your grandfathers stay and how happy you all were with the ward. I will ensure your kind words are shared with Gemma and the ward manager.

Thank you again and I hope your grandfather is recovering well.
