"I have been in this hosital for 9 years."

About: St Andrew's Healthcare Birmingham / Lifford

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I feel uncomfortable in my room because there are no windows in there. I find it really hard to breathe sometimes and the side effects of the medication I take is also difficult for my breathing. It would be good to have a window that opens so I can get fresh air!

Also some of the staff on the ward make me feel uncomfortable the way they come across hostile and always say 'No'. This needs to be looked into too.

Thank you for taking the time to put your opinion forward. I am sorry that your experience is not as positive as we would hope. I will ensure that your concerns are highlighted to the nurse manager. It is really helpful for us to find out how staff could approach things differently to make the ward a more comfortable environment. In relation to the windows, I will discuss this with our facilities manager and see if there is a solution. If not, I will ensure that you get feedback as to why we are not able to make a change.

Thank you again for using care opinion.
