"I noted a change in bowel habit lasting for several months,"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

My GP instantly referred me urgently for assessment by a hospital team and the appointment was very quickly arranged for me to have a colonoscopy.  I felt pleased that my concern was taken very seriously.

The appointment was for 3.30pm and I was taken into the department after a short wait.  The procedure went smoothly with all explanations given in full by staff who were friendly and caring.  I was amazed and delighted to be walking out of the hospital within 2 hours of my appointment time with notes on subsequent care.
