"Allergy clinic"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

I attend Dr Raptis' allergy clinic with my 2 year old son last week in RHC Glasgow. As a Consultant working in another NHSGGC site, I know a well run service when I experience it, so wanted to provide some positive feedback.

My son has been diagnosed with nut and sesame allergies and whilst I am naturally anxious about this now and in the long-term, Dr Raptis explained that he was low-risk, what we need to do now and what may happen in the future, thus reducing my anxiety somewhat! I also know how to contact them sooner if needed and am reassured I can access specialist care when needed.

I would also like to thank Nurse Hazel who did his skin-prick tests in a confident and professional manner, which can't have been easy with a crying and wriggling toddler.

More than happy with the care received by all clinical staff.

Dear Lizzy612,

Many thanks for taking the time to post your feedback, it is very much appreciated.

I am pleased to hear about your positive experience at RHC and that Dr Raptis was able to reassure you during such a worrying time.

I will pass on your comments to Hazel and the team who will be delighted to receive them.

I hope your wee boy is doing well.

Many thanks

Jen
