"Yet another appointmet farce,"

About: Queen Victoria Hospital (East Grinstead) / Ophthalmology

No problem with the treatment, just yet another with the admin side.

Glaucoma sufferer appointment at the corneo plastic unit, 18 month as appears under control.

Letter telling me that the mid August appointment, as there are two I on own initative phoned to see if both cancelled or just one.

My consultant one still going ahead.

However I cannot see the consultant unless I have the fields of vision test, that has been cancelled!!!

They can't tell me when new one might be as Nurses having to do as staff on maternity leave and they areover booked!

I pointed out I have moved and now 250 miles from hospital and had booked an overnight hotel stay.

Asked when they would know?

Reply "we don't know, nurses not told us, can only see a week ahead!"

Asked why they not cancel both when they need both, no response.

Very helpful!

I suppose I should be grateful 2 years ago I turned up, to find out had been cancelled but no one told me as they sent my details and personal to an old address!
