In mid May i was taken into Wishaw Hospital with severe heat sensitivity and resulting dermatology and had taken a convulsion as a severe response. I was kept in the ECU ward overnight and told by a doctor on the ward NOT to even think about driving due to my convulsion, until i have been told by Neurology that i can. I was told as i was discharged from the ward that this was in hand and i'd get word from Neurology as an outpatient. Its now two months since i was in the ward and all the other referrals have been answered and attended except Neurology; how long do i have to wait to be seen? 

I have other questions for the consultant regarding my hypersensitivity to heat, i don't know what is causing this but it is often very distressing and very uncomfortable to handle, i'd hoped i'd have been seen by now.

Thanks for this; I have tried but each time I call I get an answering machine saying that there is nobody available to take the call, our office hours are... I was phoning in office hours. Will try later.

If the answer phone is on that will be because the staff are either on the phone or in meetings. It's possible to leave your name and contact Tel No and a member of the team will call you back (usually within 48hours).

Ok, have tried a few times today; same message, opening hours are .... Have finally left a message though I hate speaking on answering machines. Not comfortable with it at all. It would seem like nobody is ever in the office, I called each hour for a number of hour before I finally left a message, hope they can understand what I said.

I called Referral management last week; my GP gave me the number and was told it will be more than 36 weeks before I can be given an appointment! Eeeeek!

I have ongoing counselling care which I cant get to, I cant travel on public transport for longer than a few minutes so Glasgow by train is out of the question due to my heat issue. Thank you.

Thank you Yvonne, yes I was able to get through this morning and spoke to someone, looks like I'll be possibly be offered an appointment or seen around September but I have indicated also that I would accept a cancellation as long as I can attend it at the time. Thank you for your assistance in this matter, much appreciated.
