"They fail my son badly"

About: Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust / Child and adolescent mental health care (community)

(as a parent/guardian),

He only had four therapy sessions for a serious issue, ready to be discharged as they said he does not want to get better...with only four therapy sessions (and sporadic ones to accommodate leave), no chance to get to a route cause of the problem.

I feel like from session two the therapist wanted to discharge him my son.

Dear Ines

I am very sorry that you and your son have had this experience. We would like to talk with you about what has happened and what might be done to change the situation. If this feels like an option for you please would you let me know and I will put you in touch with the right people within the trust to speak with. My contact details are below my signature and it would be very helpful if you would, if you get in touch, let me know the CAMHS service and area that you and your son used.

kind regards

Rachael Kenny
