"Fairfield Hospital Ward 5 Acute Stroke Unit..."

I was admitted to Ward 5 on the 1st July 19. I would like to thank the Consultant, another doctor , the Nurses , Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist and Radiology staff for the excellent care I received. Despite the busyness of the ward and departments I was seen promptly and reviewed straight after any investigations. The professional and calm approach of the staff made a difficult time easier. I was impressed with the porter service also, after any tests I was taken straight back to the ward. There was no delay in investigations or results. Due to this I was transferred quickly to the The Royal Oldham Hospital's care for surgery. All of the staff on Ward 5 at Fairfield took time to explain any procedures or plan of care. It is an exceptional ward because of its well organised and multidisciplinary approach, it leaves a patient feeling reassured, safe and valued. Thank you to all concerned in the Consultant's team.
