I had an appointment at the surgery this morning, I turned up 10minutes before the appointment and then had to wait an hour after my appointment time to be seen. There was lots of other people in the waiting room unhappy about having to wait a similar amount of time. Whilst waiting for my name to come up on the display

I realised that only 2 consulting rooms were being used (they have 5 consulting rooms),

I can only assume that only 2 doctors were working this morning. The practice website has a long list of doctors supposedly working at the practice but only 2 available this morning it would appear. Very poor service to the public and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a lack of appointments available today either.

We are sorry to hear that you waited for a long time to see a Doctor on this occasion.

Unfortunately, although our Doctors try to run on time as far as possible, there are sometimes unexpected and unavoidable delays where patients have needed more than the allocated ten minute appointment time which then results in the Doctor running late.

We currently have a large team of Doctors consisting of 6 GP Partners, 8 salaried GPs plus three Registrars.

They do not all work full time so will not be at work every day.

However, we do have 12 Doctors working on Mondays, 11 on Tuesdays 9 on Wednesdays, 10 on Thursdays and 10 on Fridays covering the two sites.

In general we have more Doctors working at Park as this is our main site and is where demand is greater.

Whilst it may have seemed as though we only had two GPs working on this occasion, this would never be the case.
