"Excellent care. NHS"

About: East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance Lincoln County Hospital / Accident and emergency Lincoln County Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

Our daughter had breathing difficulties, so we rang the GP who gave her an emergency appointment. They nebulised her straight away and monitored her, but weren't happy with her response, so called an ambulance.

The ambulance arrived within 15 minutes and the technicians were amazing. They put us at ease and gave her appropriate treatment on the way to hospital and phoned ahead.

We went straight to resus. The doctor we saw was amazing and did everything he could to explaining things to us. He even made our daughter a glove balloon animal that she carried everywhere with her!

We were admitted into the children's ward and looked after very well. We only had to stay in the one night and the staff on the ward couldn't do enough for us.

Hi Flossy75

Thank you for taking the time to share your story with us about your recent visit to Rainforest. It’s always lovely to receive feedback and hear that patients and families have had a positive experience. It sounds like your daughter was very brave, but must have given you quite a fright, it’s lovely to hear that you felt supported and reassured and that she’s made a speedy recovery.

We look forward to sharing your story with the rest of the team. Thank you once again.

Very best wishes

Laura and Sharon

Dear Flossy75,

Thank you for taking the time to share your kind words with me. I am so pleased to hear that our ambulance crews were able to help you and your daughter so quickly and I do hope she is feeling much better now.

If you are able, we would appreciate you sharing your comments with our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) team, with as much detail as you can (e.g. date, time and location), so that they might identify the crew who cared for you and share your words with them. You may contact them via telephone on 0333 012 4216 or email emas.pals@nhs.net.

Best wishes,

Brian Jaffrey
