"Home treatment team Sheffield"

About: Crisis Mental Health / Adult home treatment teams (North and South)

(as a service user),

I have been under the home treatment team for about over 2weeks. I was feeling in a very depressed and suicidal state, the home treatment team got involved to help me. I can honestly say that the staff who helped me through this difficult time was amazing. They listened to me and took me seriously what I find really important to me. They gave me advice on how to cope with my negative thoughts what really helped. I was able to phone up and talk to someone if I need to, when I did talk to someone they listened to me and gave me advice on how I was feeling, they also let me talk as long as I wanted to and they never once made me feel like I was waisting their time and didn't rush the conversation. The staff who came to see me at my house was as equally as good and their help was also amazing. I am going to be discharged from the home treatment team soon and with all the help I have received I also feel like it's the right decision to do. I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped me because I definitely feel in a lot better place.

Thank you so much for this very positive feedback regarding your recent care with the HTT. As a service we are always sorry when people become so poorly that they need our service, and we therefore always strive to provide the best possible care.

It is very encouraging to hear that the care you received was both helpful for your health but also in a way that was supportive and satisfactory for you.

I sincerely hope that you continue to remain well in your health but if you did need our service again, I hope that the care you receive will remain at this high standard.

Thank you for your response Imelda. Even though I gave the htt very positive feedback there's only one issue what I would like to share with you. When I was under the home treatment team I was asked if I would like a copy of the support plan and all notes what was made while under the htt,also my husband was seen by a member of the htt and said that he will receive some support numbers what he can ring. We haven't received anything yet.

thank you for this. As we do not have any information about you through this system, I wonder if it would be helpful for you to phone the HTT and ask for the information we agreed to send out. I am sure the team will be more than happy to do this.

We have two HTT in the city the North at Northlands and the South Eastglade and I am not sure which team looked after you. You could speak to the Senior nurses who will be more familiar with your care as I don't have patient contact now. For the North it is Tom Foster and the South is Katy Hughes. please feel free to contact the team.
