Two years ago I was scanned and told I had thickening of my womb (gp referred as symptoms) radiologist decided nothing in it. This year April a consultant from menopause clinic found a 2cm polyp which had been growing for the last two years.
Sent an urgent referral to hospital advised me it would be removed. Phoned as six weeks later no appointment. Consultant at hosp had decided to make it a routine appointment. Obviously not the one with the broken leg as I am aware they only have one at the minute ( maybe why Im a routine). Anyway the original three weeks has now turned into the middle of October nearly 30 weeks since first being found and referred as urgent.
I wonder if this should have been outsourced due to only having one consultant and cant help but feel a little annoyed. If this is pre or even cancerous then I hope there is a very good reason. As I cant find one as my understanding is polyps over 20mm have a ten per cent chance of being the start of cancerous growth. Cant help wishing I didn't live in Ayrshire and arran at times like this.
