From the surgeon to the anaesthetist and dedicated nurse, the treatment I received during my hip arthroscopy at Central Middlesex Hospital was exceptional. Everyone was respectful, friendly and polite - but also extremely good-humoured and clearly all got on as a team, which made a big difference. They were reassuring though made sure I was fully prepared for the operation and recovery.
Separately, the admin side of things had been abysmal (and definitely needs to be addressed) in terms of referrals going missing, appointments letters not being sent - or sending me to the wrong hospital (!) - but when I finally got to see Mr Abdul-Jabar and his team I knew I was in safe hands.
"In safe hands"
