"Brought out the best in me"

St Andrew's Healthcare has really brought the best out of me. I'm now much more confident and positive about living a successful life. Six years ago I was an empty shell and will a drug habit my life was a living hell. I now contribute to music , the arts and academic studies. I have a lot of love the staff and patients at St Andrew's. Hopefully I will continue to live a free and independent life without the aid of a drug culture, and dreaded nicotine or alcohol.

I have experienced some other mental health services, St Andrew's is like a 4 star hotel compared to other hospitals I've been in.

At St Andrew's I have been able to stop smoking, give up illegal drugs, quit drinking alcohol, get clean and furthered my dreams to be a musician and performer.

Thank you for this positive feedback. Staff are proud of the care they provide, and it is really nice to hear what a difference being in St Andrews Birmingham has made to you.

We are looking to get some stories of experience in to our local induction, so that staff can get an understanding of our service from the patient perspective. Please look out for more information about this on the wards.
