I gave birth to my first baby at the Jessops Wing in the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield. This was my first experience with childbirth so I had no idea what to expect.
Throughout my pregnancy, I visited the hospital a couple of times and was always happy with the service I received, however, nothing could compare to my experience when I was in labour on the midwife-led labour unit.Prior to having my son, my partner and I had received mixed reviews about Jessops hospital simply due to how busy the hospital can get, but having settled on Jessops as our place of choice for our baby to be born - I can safely say I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
We had three midwives involved in our birth (two being students) and I have no idea how I would have done it without each of them. I'll never forget each one of them and how they allowed me to have a natural birth with no emergencies or interventions and how the gave me all the strength in the world when I really didn't think I had any.
For this, I am forever grateful to this amazing hospital and it's greatest assets - the team x
