I was admitted to ward 4A from A and E with suspected cholecystitis and tenderness over appendix. I had a very high temp and heart rate and was in a lot of pain. I ended up having my appendix and gallbladder removed in the one surgery (keyhole). My experience throughout was one of kind, knowledgeable staff and professional care (medics and nursing staff). I was very scared of surgery and they helped ease my fears. They took very good care of me throughout my stay and nothing was a problem. The theatre staff were also wonderful, can't praise them enough. So compassionate and quick to ease fears. Nurses: Jasmine and Megan stand out in particular for me from 4A. So caring and professional.
"Excellent surgical care in Ward 4A and theatre."
