I had concerns about thickening in my breast which was tender. My sister had aggressive breast cancer 8 years ago but is still well now after treatment. I was seen within 2 weeks of referral by my GP and was initially screened by a very caring nurse called Marie. She was reassuring, understanding and very professional. I had a mammogram by a kind and caring radiographer whose name I missed, then saw Danielle and Alison for an ultrasound and I was told the results there and then. Fortunately nothing sinister was found and Marie saw me again to discuss all the results and reassure me that I should not hesitate to report any future concerns, that I would not have another mammogram within a year but could still ask for routine 3 yearly mammograms after age 70.
All in all, a fantastic team, great service and very caring. Thanks a million!
