About: Lincoln County Hospital / Ophthalmology

referred by spec savers with suspected eye infection seen last November given drops and cream returned after 2 weeks to see a different specialist who changed the drops seen again 2 weeks later, issue still the same no improvement returned just before Christmas discharged, returned to spec savers in Jan 2019 referred again to see yet another specialist given different medication one of which was not available for several months, waited 3 months for another appointment to be seen by yet another different specialist who basically said I’ve got dry eyes and was going to discharge me, returned to spec saver in June eyes still infected they advised going back to my gp and requesting he writes to the specialist, shocking treatment,

Thank you for taking the time to post this comment and I would like to apologise for the doctors treatment towards yourself.

I will be sharing your feedback with the doctors and other staff who work in the eye department at our next governance meeting, so that we can learn from your comments and improve the quality of our patients’ experience.

Whilst this apology cannot undo your experience in the department, I want you to be aware that we are addressing the issues that you have raised.
