"Dissatisfied with the explanations"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I dont really know how I sustained my injury. The orthopaedic consultant originally was of the opinion I had been in a road accident when in fact I had not.

I am very dissatisfied with the offered explanations.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear vanguard1,

I am sorry you are dissatisfied with the care you have received to date. It may be that your consultant is basing his opinion on the nature of your symptoms, in the absence of another explanation and it may be that you never get to the bottom of how it happened.

Just a thought, I wonder if you have a plan to address your injured ankle.

If you have not, perhaps you could email me at Eunice.goodwin@aapct.scot.nhs.uk and I will try to establish more information on your behalf.

I hope you are managing to get about and you are not in too much pain,

Best wishes,

Eunice
