"Doctors and nurses are the backbone in the system"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / Gynaecology

(as a service user),

Recent Visit to Gynaecology Dept., 1B, Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, Lincs.

I want to record my thanks to the staff of this department for the care they showed me at my recent appointments. I'm not the easiest patient to care for as my mobility problems and my obesity prove challenging to deal with.

However, all the nurses who dealt with me were true professionals. I particularly want to mention Leanne and Val who were patient with me and my restricted mobility and Janet who sat with me while I recovered afterwards. 

The NHS may be going through a difficult time at present but I can tell you that the doctors and nurses are the backbone in the system. Treasure them because without them and their colleagues the NHS would indeed be lost. Listen to them, treat them fairly and the NHS will recover.

The team pride themselves on providing high quality, personal and dignified care for our patients and are always pleased to receive feedback in order that we can strive to continually improve our services. When the feedback received is complementary and explains the impact that the team makes to your experience, it has a really positive effect on team morale and gives a sense of pride that we are able to provide such a good service, in what can be a worrying time for patients such as yourself.
