Dear Lydeard

I am right in reading that We, A&E sent you to the ward in pain? I am extremely sorry if this is the case, this is something we absolutely should not have done. I would be keen to understand this more. If you are happy to ring me on 01823 342906 I can look into this further.

Update posted by Lydeard (the patient)

I am sorry that I gave the wrong impression regarding my being sent to the ward in pain, I should have said that 'I entered A & E in intense pain', not the Hestercombe ward.

If I did have any pain when I was admitted to Hestercombe it was very relative to the pain I was in prior to entering A & E, There was still a small discomfort on being admitted to the ward but as a reference I would put it at, say, only 10% compared to coming in to A & E. The Hestercombe ward maintained this 'lack of pain' at all times therefore I would like to thank you all again for the care and concern you gave me.

With highest regards

Lydeard.

Dear Lydeard

Thank you for clarifying, I'm so glad to hear that we didn't leave you in pain! That is something we try very hard not to do.

I hope you are recovering well.

Regards

Louise
