Mum had Sepsis and was rushed to A&E Musgrove park hospital with a 10% chance of survival. Staff on ICU found the the root of the infection, which was an epidural abscess in her lower back. This was an extremely stressful time, as our dad had passed away recently. The abscess was removed and after also getting cellulitis in both legs 4wks into her hospital stay, mum was thankfully discharged after 8wks. The road to a full recovery is a long one but it's down to the staff on ICU/HDU that made this so. My sister and I cannot thank them enough.
