"When we turned up the door was locked"

About: Change Grow Live Cambridgeshire / Huntingdon

(as a service user),

I came to the Huntingdon office after speaking to someone on the phone with regards to my partner seeing someone. I spoke to a person at Cambridge and they said phone the Huntingdon office when I spoke to someone on the phone she said come at 9:30 am as thats when we open and my partner will be assessed.

But when we turned up at 9:30 am door was locked, to be opened at 9:50 am and then at 10:15 told that they were busy and a lot of staff on annual leave so couldn't be seen. This upset me as I had taken the day off work to bring my partner in. So someone said to come back and we would be seen at 11:00 am.

Thanks for posting on Care Opinion. We are really sorry to hear that you was unable to gain access on arriving at the service for support and left feeling upset, we aim for a much more accessible service so would really like to look into this. Can you contact Selena White on 0300 555 0101 option 3 to allow me to share the problems that we had with building structurally last week due to the heavy rains that closed the building for several days, with contingency management in place working from local buildings.. We would also like to talk to you to review things and make sure you have all the right support set up for the future. and to express apologies for any delays this has caused in seeking treatment with us.

As a team, we will be looking at arrangements to ensure signage is clear and available to all people attending, reporting any changes while under contingency planning.
