"A personal touch"

I had a minor operation at the Day Surgery Unit here yesterday. I was initially a little worried, as it is so small and facilities are limited, but this actually works in its favour. I was treated with great respect, everyone who spoke to me used my first name and put me at ease. Every step of the procedure was explained and nothing felt rushed, as it has in larger hospitals. The place was immaculate and staff were friendly. I did have to wait, as I was told that the surgeon doing the operations was ‘thorough’. I’ll take thorough in a surgeon every time. Like I say, it just felt like everyone had time to do the job properly.
