My wife was transfered to Halstead Community Hospital Halstead Ward for convelescence after a stay in Colchester General Hospital necessitated by a fall and a hip replacement. She immediately began to improve under the care she received. The atmosphere was calm and caring. Staff came promptly was called and she received attention from a doctor, dietition and physiothreapists as well as general nursing care.She was quickly back on her feet and receiving training from the occupational therapists next door.
Like an old fashioned Cottage Hosopital. Such a shame they were abolished.
