"They have helped me find new ways of coping"

I had been, since the separation and process of divorce, having struggles with my sleep and mental health. To the point where my relationships with my family, new relationships, my work I tried to manage and build. I became reckless with money spent on impressing women I was with as I felt so broken inside I had nothing to give as well as myself - due to social media showing us that's what will make you happy.

I started to use cannabis as a substance to sleep at night and when off for my own anxiety and depression struggles internally to turn off forget and rest. I had isolated myself not wanting people to see my struggles in my mental health but also drug abuse. With the specialist help and support from the mental health home treatment, CGL and now Brief Intervention Team, they have helped me find new ways of coping and managing my problems in debt, drug abuse, broken relationships and mental health.

My key Workers emphasise and understand the struggle giving specific advice for positive plans and pathways for my life, debts and my job. The men's support group has also been fantastic as a support network and advice from others going through or been through similar situations to me. Thank you CGL for everything that you have done and are doing for those like me who have struggled on their own.
