"Exceptional Doctor"

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital / Accident and emergency

Unfortunately I don’t know the Name of the Doctor who assessed my mother last night. Following a bad fall and suspected head injury we went to Bournemouth A and E. The care my mother received was outstanding. The doctor took time to carefully, assess, advice and explain what he was doing. His professional, confident, approach was so reassuring. I really felt we were in safe hands and wish I had noted the Doctors name so we could thank him. He had a wonderful bedside manner and was a real credit to the NHS

Dear Mandy

Many thanks for you kind feedback as it is always rewarding to know when we have done well. We regularly receive positive feedback regarding nursing staff but all too often the doctors don’t get a mention so I am sure they will be delighted to receive your praise.

Thank you for highlighting his professional, confident yet caring approach and also that he took time to explain clearly what he was doing in order to put you at ease.

We will make sure that your comments reach the Matron and also the lead consultant who I am sure will be able to pass on your feedback to the Dr who treated you.

Regards

Patient Experience Team
