"Dignity, respect, and caring attitude"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a carer),

I would like to thank the staff in Hairmyres A& E and the paramedic staff for the care my elderly mother received on Thursday 6th June. She was treated with dignity, respect and with a caring attitude.   This is a vast difference from a couple of years ago.

Dear visitor123,

Thank you for taking the time to post these lovely comments on CareOpinion in respect to the treatment of your mother. I am sorry that your mother had reason to use the services of the Scottish Ambulance Service and that of the wider NHS Scotland. I do hope that she is doing well and on the road to recovery.

It is always nice to hear that our staff have acted with the professionalism that we would expect and the values that you mention such as dignity and respect are so very important. Thanks again and I wish you all the very best.

Thank you for taking the time to write such positive comments about your mother’s recent visit to the Emergency Department. I am pleased to hear that she was cared for with dignity and respect, however it saddens me to hear that her previous experience was very different.

I will share your comments with the wider team as all feedback is important to us. I hope that your mother is recovering well and thank you again for your time.
