"Complications following giving birth"

About: St John's Hospital / Head and Neck St John's Hospital / Maternity care

(as a relative),

My parter lost 3 litres of blood after giving birth and had to have several blood transfusions and was in intensive care for a day.

The care she received was amazing - the way everyone from the nurses, midwives, doctors and surgeons looked after her and kept me informed as to what was happening and why was first class. We cannot praise everyone we dealt with at St John's Hospital in Livingston highly enough.

We would especially like to thank Dr Arnot, Dr Mills, Dr King, Dr Armstrong, midwife Emma from the maternity ward and the midwife who provided 1 on 1 care in the labour ward following my partners release from intensive care (unfortunately do not have her name!).

Dear G in Deans

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with feedback at what must have been a very anxious time for you.

I am so pleased your partner is now out of intensive care and I hope she is recovering.

Please be assured that I will share your email with the staff at St Johns who will I know appreciate your comments. They will be pleased that you felt informed at a very difficult time and that you thought the care was first class.
