"My baby boys birth"

My baby boy was born in the birthing pool at my local hospital, I felt so happy to deliver my baby locally. The midwives are excellent here in Campbeltown & it’s amazing how you build up a relationship with each & every one of them. I was lucky enough to have Becky involved for all 3 of my pregnancies who always made me feel at ease every visit. I delivered my 2 older boys at RAH which was also excellent. For baby number 3 I decided to wait & see how I felt in labour & on the day decided to wait here in Campbeltown which was amazing & with the support of Isabel, student midwife Grace, Catriona & my husband it was a very positive experience. I also feel my wise hippo course & practices with midwife Nicky really helped me focus & remain calm. Anyone that knows me knows I worry and as much as I wanted to have my 3rd baby in a city hospital “just incase” I am so pleased I had a Campbeltown birth, and would now 100% encourage mums to stay here. All births are amazing & very special but I do think it was extra special having a baby here in my home town & my family were all able to meet our new addition when he was only a couple of hours old. I cannot thank our local midwives enough, they do an amazing job & take amazing care of our families.
