"X-Ray Facility"

About: Fleet Medical Centre

I had to have an X-Ray on my shoulder and elected to use the Fleet Hospital as the waiting times were likely to be shorter than at Frimley Park. I was second in line and it was very quick but I was extremely disappointed with the attitude of the technician doing the X-ray.

He was rushing me and considering I was in a great deal of pain I found it difficult to place my shoulder in the correct position 'in a hurry'. His duty of care was zero especially considering there was no one behind me (maybe it was coming up to lunchtime!)

I commented that the doctor had told me they would be looked at that day and if they saw anything I would be contacted immediately. He then said that that the x-rays would be sent to FPH and the results wouldn't be given for two days, which sounded right to me and I was satisfied with the that. He then told me, "anyway it's not broken"

I did not expect this bit of petulance from this man and was probably the worst treatment, considering I was the patient and in a great deal of pain as I've already said, I've ever received by a member of NHS staff, who in the past have all been excellent. Disappointed :(
