About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Maternity

Made to feel inadequate. Left for hours with out being seen. If you ask for pain relief it takes forever. Very judgemental staff. No facilities for partners. If you don’t want to breast feed this is looked down upon. Staff just talking amongst their selfs rather than dealing with patients. More compassionate and care should be taken, over the babies and mums. Overall a very bad experience from my own midwife to then being down at Treliske. Totally put me off ever having another baby. Disappointed with the care I received from start to finish.

Should of been a happy joyful experience, which I have not felt at all.

Dear Maternu

I am sorry that your maternity experience is not what you would have expected both from your own midwife or those at RCHT.

You are correct to say that his should have been a joyful experience and not one where you felt inadequate or up set. As there are little personnel details in your account please contact myself or Angela the matrons to discuss further to enable us to discuss the way you feel with the staff members personally.

Kind regards
