"A&E and coronary care unit"

About: Royal Bolton Hospital / Accident and emergency

I woke one morning with breathlessness and I went to Bolton accident and emergency department on arrival I was sent to triage will my blood pressure and vital signs were taken within 10 minutes I was having an ECG then I was taking to a cubicle for monitoring. I then was told that they thought I had had a heart attack the doctors and nurses were fantastic nothing was too much trouble and everything was explained to me I was then taken to coronary care where I stayed for 24 hours and was diagnosed with pericarditis the nurses and the doctors on coronary care will brilliant so friendly and helpful

Nurses on coronary care work so hard they never seem to stop yeah they always have a smile and make you feel at ease. The only small criticism was that when I was discharged no doctor came to see if I had any questions about my diagnosis so I went home worrying a lot about things but overall my stay at the Royal Bolton Hospital was fantastic everybody work so hard and I've been so helpful many thanks to all the staff involved

Thank you for posting this. We are pleased you were satisfied with your treatment but sorry you did not have the opportunity to ask questions before you went home. Hopefully these will be answered at follow up appointments, but meanwhile please don't hesitate to call the unit if you are still concerned.
