What I liked
i had a three day stay in dewsbury hospital ward 12. bed22. the doctors nurses surgeons and everyone on that ward who passed my bed smiled said hello and asked how i was feeling. the atmosphere was relaxed calm and a sense of well being and safety enveloped the whole ward. whether it was the day staff or the evening staff. on the odd occasion i needed to buzz the staff they were at my side within a minute or two. but i usually asked as they passed my bed. and nothing was a trouble to them. these staff were busy constantly they never seemed to stop and if you said nurse you were answered politely and your request dealt with almost immediatley.
how they managed it i just dont know. but they did manage it and i was one of the ward patients that benefited because of their well organised routine. the ward was cleaned everyday with no fuss or confusion and even these staff had a smile and said hello. i feel as if i am describing a five star hotel. this could be because that is how my short stay felt. so as i am still on a liquid diet i will raise my glass of semi skimmed banana complan and tell all of ward 12 a big thank you. and i hope the friendships i have made with you all lasts forever. thank you. neil.
What could be improved
with regard to my time spent at dewsbury hospital i cannot see what could be improved when you have the right staff you have the best solution. perfection doesnt need improvement and ward 12 has it in abundance.
