When coming round from my surgery on Tuesday early evening i was told that only one of my bags had been delivered from the surgical admission's lounge to the ward and that my handbag with mobile phone and money/cards was missing. it took until the next morning for my bag to be found (it had wrongly been delivered to the next ward; they had locked it away over night rather than locate the patient, i.e. me, whose name was clearly and easily identifiable on the bag) and i felt that there was not sufficient understanding and effort put in to find it which caused me a lot of anxiety as i was not able to easily contact family and friends and i continued to be worried about my belongings. Some staff were helpful, but overall i was left quite staggered by the experience.
