Having been admitted to out of ours at my local hospital via NHS 24. The doctor made inappropriate comments about my sexuality. When asker about who was accompanying me into the on-call doctors room, I replied with "my partner" to my utter disgust bearing in mind I'm in pain and running a temperature of > 41°. Their immediate response was "I've seen it all now". This is in no way acceptable nor appropriate in any circumstance. How wrongful of a medical professional to say such an unacceptable comment to a patient needing immediate medical care not to be victimised about his sexuality.
"Not acceptable"
