"Advice from Crisis Team"

I hear voices that frighten me and threaten my life because they instruct me to end my life.

With help of a stranger, when I was distressed and in London, one night I called Camden crisis team. Their advices was that it was my choice whether to follow the voices.

I know from my contact with other people and postings on here indicate that this team and this Trust have said this before to others. I dont see the crisis team as in my experience they don't support people when they get very unwell. So they don't know me at all and havent seen me for many years. Yet the worker on the crisis line thought they should tell me this.

They didn't tell me to go to A&E at St Thomas's which was nearby. They didn't call an ambulance. Or even the police.

So I followed the voices and was saved by police. The crisis team failed to report this or follow up with the community team after the event.

I felt suicidal and although I don't remember very much from then what I heard was consistent with what voices were saying.

I have reported this to the managers and they have taken no action which makes me wonder about Trust policy.
