i attended your hospital 1/may for day surgery (gall bladder removal) however i had to stay an xtra 48 hours due to a drain being inserted the staff from start to finish were brilliant . from admittance Ihad a few concerns was a bit nervous and worried about home but the sister on duty( who was a little whirlwind )calmed me and reasurred me about everything and i was calm and settled when i went to theatre (incidentally i next bumped into same sister on the next day and she was running around talking to patients helping nurses changing fluids and she seemed as "haoppy as a sandboy" ) the care on room 3 short stay was fantastic from the cleaning lady to the staff nurse ( caring and full of laughter )always smiling full of banter with us patients keeping us informed and taken care of the night care was brilliant as well thge staff nurse full of enthusiasm for her patients and the other nurse on duty with her was sunshine during the night, nothing was too much bother.
i note i cant name the staff but they know who they are and i thank them for making my stay pleasant i am over 70 years old and have worked in many teams over the years and you know theres always at least 1 person in every team whos a bit down now and then and you can pick up on that either they roll their eyes there lips drop ectera but i never saw that once in my stay . a pat on the back for whoever motivates this team as your staff are are a treasure.
please pass on my thanks to them all even though i hope i dont see them again (proffesionally)
James
