"Attending endoscopy unit"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as a relative),

We felt uninformed during our time in the unit. My husband was taken through an hour and a quarter before he was attended too, and he felt forgotten due to nobody informing him why he was waiting for so long. I was waiting for him and was feeling anxious because was not keeping me informed. We feel that communication was lacking.

Dear Ashie

Thank you for sharing you story with us. From what you have described there was a clear communication breakdown between staff and you & your husband. From your story, I don't know the exact location your husband was on at Pilgrim so I can't share it with the relevant team. If you cold let me know by emailing me at patient.experience@ulh.nhs.,uk I will immediately share your feedback with them.

Regards

Sharon
