I am writing to thank everyone at Sandbourne Suite Royal Bournemouth Hospital for the care that I received recently for my Dupuytren's operation.
I would particularly like to thank Jo who welcomed me and led me to the admissions room and handled all the paperwork and dealt with me with great kindness.
Big thank you too to Warrick the anaesthetist for his clear explanations and reassurances before and at the start of the operation.
Thank you Mr Bagnall for your expertise in carrying out the procedure and your discussion with me before the start of the operation.
When I awoke from the anaesthetic Amy was sitting by my bed to make sure that I was ok. She chatted to me very sweetly until it was time to go to the recovery room.
In the recovery room another kind nurse brought me a coffee and a sandwich and let me rest until my wife came to pick me up.
I am recovering well with no problems so far and just feel so grateful and proud to live in a country with such a wonderful health service. Thank you too to all the other staff involved. It would be nice if my appreciation could be passed on to everyone but I don't know if that's possible.
