"Very impressed with the eye clinic"

About: St Helens Hospital / Ophthalmology

I was referred to the department by my optician. The same day I had a phone call from the triage nurse to offer me an appointment for the next day. I first saw a lovely nurse who apologised for the wait (no problem, it was very busy and the wait was not excessive). I then didn't wait very long to see the doctor who examined my eyes thoroughly and explained the problem to me. I was in the dept for 1/4 hours which was fine as the triage nurse had warned me I would have a long wait. All the staff were very kind and the receptionists were really friendly and welcoming.

We're lucky to have this great service.
