"Seen in less than 30 minutes"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

My son fell while in a school trip and hurt his wrist, very painful and restricted movement meant a trip from school to A&E at Hairmyres.   Quickly checked in, less than 30 minutes before seen by junior doctor, x-ray arranged and pain relief given.   Thankfully no broken bones just sprained, sling applied and to rest overnight and home within 1. 5hrs.   Excellent service from clinical and non clinical staff, well done to all.

Dear cesmo

Thank you for taking the time to share your son’s recent visit to the A&E department following his fall. I am pleased that he was seen promptly and that you were pleased with the service that all the staff provided. I will share your comments with the wider team.

Thankfully as you say no broken bones but a traumatic experience for Both you and your son. I hope that he makes a speedy recovery.

Thank you again for your comments.

Best Wishes
