I have good experiences of using the Gratton Surgery, all the staff are helpful and in general you are seen in a timely fashion.

Having the ability to collect prescriptions on the premises is a great benefit.

My only suggestion for improved services would be if it was easier to speak to a doctor during the period 0815-0845 as my experience has been that it is virtually impossible to get through and if you are at work or travelling to work during this time slot there is no other opportunity to speak to the doctor without making an appointment which may not be necessary when a brief phone call may resolve the issue.

It would also be useful for the elderly if a chiropody service and hearing aid service could be offered.

A home visiting hearing aid service provided by trained volunteers is available in Dorset which is a great help to those who cannot easily get to the local hospital or other service provider.

In the 29 years I have been a patient at the Gratton Surgery I have always been very grateful for the service they provide despite changes to the operation over the past few years.

Thank you for the lovely feedback. We are keen to hear from our patients regarding the service you have received and I understand the difficulties you have experienced with the telephone service. over the summer we have worked with our telephone provider to improve telephone access to the surgery, but we have also been looking at alternative ways of providing a telephone service, which would address your concerns and those comments received by other patients. Regarding the other services eg chiropody we would be more than happy to provide space for these clinicians, however we do not have a contract to provide these clinics ourselves at present but will consider doing so should that situation change.
