Having heard my brother had been admitted with chest pain I thought I would phone to see how he was as I was so worried. I know nurses are really busy and while trying to be nice the nurses attitude was nothing short of appalling. At one point as a vulnerable relative felt she was aggressive, negative although she thought she was assertive but came across as uncaring and really could not be bothered. While I did not request confidential information, I asked a general question how is he after a suspected heart attack. This negative positive opinion and could have really been prevented by the nurses attitude. What has happened to the caring nurses. I attempted to escalate this to the clinical coordinator but was put on hold and then cut off. This is certainly not person centred, effective or safe care in my view to reassure worried relatives.
