"The terrible phone on the day for an appointment service"

Having to phone London Road Medical Practice on the day to make an appointment in hopes you'll get one is a diabolical service, honestly the likelyhood of someone unable to get an appointment on that day and the taking the actions they feel necessary with the lack of help, it may cause people like myself who have a variety of serious mental health issues to think they can't get the help they need or like they are being brushed off, I know for a fact I've certainly felt like that when I can't get an appointment on the day, I understand there's more than just me that need help, yet what if people are incapable on such short notice to go into a GP on that day? They need to wait till 8: 30am to then sit on the phone for maybe an hour or 3 to possibly get an appointment? there are some GP practices that need to change they way they give out appointments so that they can prevent drastic situations that could come from the lack of help they can actually provide.
