I've attended several appointments with neurology over the last 2 years, for 2 different problems and all staff I've met have been unfailingly polite and helpful.
I was initally quite unwilling to be referred back to neurology, after some bad experiences in the 1980s, but things have obviously changed and the consultant I have been seeing has been empathetic, listened well and taken my views on board.
I'm no longer quite so scared to go to appointments.
I've had investigations including neurophysiology tests and MRI scan and can not fault the care of the staff in these departments.
Unfortunately, I still don't have a diagnosis of the latest problem but I've been referred to neuro ophthalmology and trust that an answer will be found soon.
Thank you for helpng me to get over the fear of hospitals that I've had for 30 years.
"Polite and helpful"
